Messages Highlight the late financier and Steve Bannon Connection

Bannon was one of the former president's closest strategists prior to resigning from the administration in 2017

In November 2018, Steve Bannon, previously a top aide to Donald Trump, was in the UK preparing for a address at the Oxford Union.

The event was disrupted by numerous protesters, and Bannon, who was due to travel that evening, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Activists slowed down my talk I doubt I can catch the plane we r enroute to heathrow".

Epstein replied: "There. Is a Gulf Air that leaves at 9:50 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an amazing helper".

These messages were published on this week together with over 20,000 documents from the estate of Epstein, the late financier convicted of sex crimes.

The release by the House oversight committee includes an text conversation where Bannon's identity is redacted. Media outlets has been able to confirm his involvement by matching the dates, events, and places referenced.

For example, Epstein talks about chartering a jet from the UK for the redacted user in the messages, and offers praise their "address at Oxford". Bannon took part in the Edinburgh conference on 14 November, and gave the talk at the Oxford Union two days later.

Bannon, who is not accused of any misconduct, did not reply on the request for comment.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon was one of the president's closest advisers in the run up to the 2016 election and during the initial phase of his presidency, but stepped down from the administration in 2017.

He has acknowledged he was producing a documentary about Epstein before his passing and reportedly has approximately 15 hours of recordings. In a live taping of his show earlier this year, he said: "We plan to publish the series, the five-part series, in the coming year - at the start of next year."

But the newly released documents suggest Bannon's relationship with Epstein went further than documenting his life, with the convicted paedophile at times seeming to act like a aide.

A few days before the conversation in which Epstein appeared to have arranged a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein said: "how does it feel to have the most highly paid booking agent in history ".

Bannon thanked him: "U r pretty good assistant", to which Epstein responded "Massages. Not Included".

Discussing a trip to "Abu Dhabi" in a separate text, Epstein told Bannon: "I will ensure you are well looked after."

British Affairs Mentioned in Messages

The published messages also show Bannon and Epstein discussing UK politics in that year.

On the same day his address at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the Brexit issue this day with Nigel, Johnson and Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a allusion to the UK prime minister, the struggling British leader at the time, he added: "They are attempting to proceed. May today / tomorrow…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "In my view remaining as much as you can uk. Best-- so others see the commitment of your follow through."

Shortly after, Epstein asked: "Will Theresa may remain in power". Bannon replied: "It seems unlikely BUT the guys over here have no balls" and noted "Boris ; Gove; Rees Mogg; Davis - somebody has to take charge".

May was eventually removed in 2019 after withstanding multiple attempts of no confidence in December 2018.

A spokesman for Reform UK informed media: "Nigel Farage has not been in a meeting with Steve Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is no evidence such a meeting took place.

The US House of Representatives will vote next week on whether the justice department should make public all its records concerning its investigation into Epstein, who passed away in jail in that year.

Interest in Epstein's relationships with influential individuals was reignited recently after the publication of more than 20,000 pages from his estate.

A portion of those referenced Trump, who has repeatedly denied any impropriety. The leader was a acquaintance of Epstein's for a long time, but says they fell out in the 2000s, two years prior to Epstein was initially charged.
