“It was regrettable. It was essentially an exchange with our fans seated near me,” Jones stated during a Tuesday interview. “There was a swarm of Cowboys fans—not New York fans, our fans. The whole venue was filled with enthusiasm for the Dallas team.”
Jones additionally emphasized that the signal was completely unintentional, occurring amid the elation following the team’s last score. “I just showed the wrong digit,” he remarked. “The action was inadvertently done. This is sincere. Should you call it accidental, you can. However, it got corrected rapidly.”
